I love it when it rains in LA. It does NOT happen often so I welcome an overcast, cloudy sky. Today even brought thunder! It is probably the third time I have heard the sounds of thunder since moving to LA four and half years ago. Crazy.
Although not from today, here is a recent rainy sky I instagrammed over Hollywood a few weeks ago.

I just can not get enough of pastels right now. I would not have touched these colors with a six foot pool until the Spring fashion season. Damn the fashion industry, they can make anything seem cool again. I have avoided these colors with a passion since growing up in the eighties. Oh, and do not even get me started on florals. I am in love with those too. My old Laura Ashley covered bedroom and dresses would be so “hipster” right now.
So, in honor of all things pastels, I could not help but treat myself to several new Essie polish colors in honor of the third trend I’m honoring in this post…”the nail arts” of 2012. Voila!
